Kristina competed better last Saturday. There are some notes and scores on each event.

Vault: Yurchenko 2/1 - 9.475

Uneven Bars: Maloney to Shaposh... bail hand.. stalder 1/1... stalder, blind.. Jaegar (fall)... toe on ˝ Geinger... double layout stuck - 8.600

Balance Beam: leap to 1-arm FF... Arabian, FF.... side sommie... FF, FF, double tuck - 9.250

Floor Exercise: pike full-in... double arabian (high but a little short)... FHS, 2/1 twisting front, punch front... - 8.850

It placed Kristina 20th All-Around. Congrats to her teammate, Liz Tricase (6th) qualified to Olympic Trials. Also Kelly Fee did awesome all weekend (17th).

Kristina competed today at her third US Nationals today. She started with vault and did awesome, recieved 9.450 which placed her 5th! After the vault, she had rough meet on the rest of the events. She placed 24th all-around. Good Luck to Kristina on Saturday.

Kristina will be competing this weekend at her third National Championships. Senior All-Around and Event Finals will be on Thursday, at 7:00 PM EST. All-Around Finals will be on Saturday, at 6:00 PM EST. Kristina is 1st person to start on Vault! Good Luck Kristina! There are new pictures added from USA vs International.

On Saturday, Kristina had event finals at USA vs International. She won bronze on uneven bars with the score, 8.800. Liz Tricase got silver on that event while Amelie Plante from Canada won the gold medal. Kristina also qualified on Vault for Event Finals. She competed her second vault twice which was not in compliance with International Rules of doing two separate vaults. Her coach, Todd Gardiner wanted her to practice her second vault in competition. Kristina’s second vault is a ˝ Layout ˝. It has a start value of 9.8. She received a score of 9.525 on each vault.

Kristina just returned from a location taping of a video segment for NBC Sports. The Balance Beam video segment was shot at the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico and will be aired during the gymnastics portion of the Olympic Games. Kristina said she had a lot of fun doing the video! Kristina wrote a new journal!

Kristina is just coming back from her stress fracture (right leg-fibula) and is working hard to prepare for the USA vs International Invite in May. It's been really frustrating since she was slated to try for the Pacific Alliance in April. She has upgraded her routines which she plans to compete in May. (Start values have also been upgraded.) She is heading to the Team Camp April 3rd through the 7th and should be close to 100% by then.

A few weeks ago, Kristina traveled to Marseille, France to compete in the Massilia Gym Cup. She was on the USA's 'B' team with Ashley Jenkins and Alicia Sacramone. They placed 9th. Kristina qualified to the vault finals and beat two-time Olympic gold medalist, Elena Zamolodchikova to win the vault title! Congratulations Kristina!
