Kristina won't be able to compete for the rest of the season due of an ankle injury. In spite of injury issues that prevented UCLA from competing at full strength. The Bruins earned their second-highest team score of the season in a 196.650 to 196.375 loss at Oregon State. The Bruins will compete again on February 25 for a quadrangular meet against Denver, California, and Cal State Fullerton at Pualey Pavilion.

UCLA was short-handed last night at a dual meet against Denver. They lost by one-tenth of a point, 194.800 to 194.900. Kristina was not be able to compete on balance beam due of ankle injury. Get well Kristina! The UCLA Bruins will compete again next Friday in Orvallis, Oregon against Oregon State.

Kristina and her teammates traveled to Tempe, Arizona last Friday night to compete against Arizona State. The UCLA Bruins improved their record to 5-2 after they won ASU, 195.725 to 195.275. Kristina scored 9.750 and placed seventh on balance beam. The Bruins won't compete again until February 9th against Denver.

KRISTINA COMFORTE'S OFFICIAL WEBSITE has been redesigned! One new page has been created, In the Media. A couple brand new Avatars have been added. New wallpapers and support banners will be coming soon. Lastly, there's TONS new pictures have been added from 2006 season; NCAA Championships, Stanford & San Jose, AZ and Fullterton & Davis, Washington, and 2006 Miscellaneous.

Kristina and UCLA team competed two meets last three weekends. After the meet in Hawaii, they competed against #2 Utah Utes where they rallied in the final rotation to overtake the Bruins, who had lead throughout each the first three rotations. Kristina placed fourth in all-around behind her teammate, Kate Richardson and Utes Nicolle Ford and Nina Kim. She also placed 12th on vault, 4th on uneven bars, tied for second on balance beam, and sixth on floor exercise.
The Bruins' third competition of the season was from last Friday evening. The UCLA gymnastics team recorded a season-high 194.600 to defeat host Washington, which scored 190.650. The Bruins swept the all-around stands, with Kate Richardson, Ariana Berlin, and Melissa Chan as top three all-arounders. Kristina placed fourth. She also placed second on vault, seventh on uneven bars, tied for fourth on balance beam, and eleventh on floor exercise.
UCLA Bruins competed for the second time in three days after the Washington meet. The 13th-ranked UCLA gymnastics team recorded a new season-high score of 196.075 in a dual meet victory over Oregon State in Pauley Pavilion Sunday afternoon. Kristina placed second all-around behind her teammate, Melissa Chan! She also placed fifth on vault, tied for first on uneven bars, first on balance beam, and eighth on floor exercise.

The UCLA opened the 2006 season with a first-place finish in a six-team meet in Kailua, Hawaii Tuesday evening. Kristina competed in all four events and placed fourth all-around with the score of 38.575. She also placed third on vault and 2nd on balance beam. You can view the full results here.
