Hi everyone,

This is my first journal entry so I thought I would let you all know what has been going on lately. Unfortunately, in January I found out that I had a stress fracture in my right fibula. It took a little longer to heal than I expected. I was planning on going to the Pacific Alliance Camp, but my leg wasn't ready for the hard landings yet. I did attend the camp right before that and did all four events for the first time this year!

I recently found out that I would be competing in the International Meet at the ranch in May. I'm excited about this meet because I have added alot to bars and beam, and it is going to help me to get some experience and confidence with these routines.

This past weekend, I traveled to Alamogordo, New Mexico (near El Paso, Texas) for an NBC shoot for the Olympics. I arrived on Thursday and worked out at a gym called Twisters. The people there were so nice! The gym gave us their beam to use for the shoot and they asked me to autograph it, too! I had to wake up at 4:00am on Friday! We started shooting around 6:00am. It was soooo cold, I couldn't feel my toes (Good thing there was a trailer to warm-up in)!! Eventually it did warm up and I was able to do more. The dunes are awesome! Pure white sand. There are also these bugs called "stink bugs" because if you step on them.... they stink! The shoot ended at 8:30 pm with an amazing sunset! The crew were all so friendly and I am so glad that I was able to meet them. It was such a great experience for me. Well, that is pretty much it for now. I will try to get another entry up after the meet at the ranch.

Love,
Kristina
