Hey Everyone!

Happy New Year to all of you! I was able to go home for 8 days over Christmas. It was so nice to be with my family again. I definitely miss them a lot, but I do love it here. It was nice to just relax, and not have to worry about school. The team had to be back for training on the 27th and then we all left for Hawaii (our first meet) on the 30th. Hawaii is absolutely amazing! I had never been there before, and I have to say it is one of the prettiest places I have ever been to. We were able to go to Pearl Harbor and see the USS Arizona. It was so sad thinking about what all those people went through. We went to the beach, but I didn't go in the ocean because I am so scared of what also swims in there! And of course we did a lot of shopping! The meet went really well, and our team had a lot of fun competing. Plus, I got a pretty good tan too!

We came back January 4th, and then had our first home meet on the 7th. The meet went really well up until floor. We were winning the whole meet until that last event when we had a couple of mistakes. It was disappointing, but now we know what we really need to work on and we are even more determined to do better in Washington and at home against OSU.

We just started school this week. I think this is going to be an even better quarter. I like all my classes, so I should do really well. I hope everyone is doing well, and I will write again soon!

Love,
Kristina
